Wintertime Love by Flying-Glove Wintertime Love by Flying-Glove
Wintertime winds blow cold this season
Falling in love, I'm hoping to be
Wind is so cold, is that the reason?
Keeping you warm, your hands touching me

Come with me, dance, my dear
Winter's so cold this year
And you are so warm
My wintertime love to be

Wintertime winds, blue and freezing
Coming from northern storms in the sea
Love has been lost, is that the reason?
Trying so desperately to be free

Come with me, dance, my dear
Winter's so cold this year
And you are so warm
My wintertime love to be

-"Wintertime Love", The Doors

The wind blows bitter and cold outside, and I'm not in the most positive place I've ever been mentally, but "Wintertime Love" is pure concentrated happiness in song form. It reminds me of all the beautiful little things in life that are sometimes forgotten in the chill and darkness of winter.

The old-fashioned, magical waltz feel of this song inspired me to use a sort of Art Nouveau/Aubrey Beardsley style for it. I wish you all could see this in real life, I used glitter eyeliner on it so it's covered in tiny "snowflake" sparkles.

I really enjoy this. Not only because I'm a fan of the Doors, but you did so well on it. I love the ballroom dancing idea, it's so simple, yet romantic. I love the color scheme. It really emphasizes the winter feeling. I also love how you separated the ballroom from outside. You did it in such way that it's not too much, but not too little. The texture is amazing and the detail is superb. I'm glad I wrote my first critique for this, because it really deserves it. It is just plain amazing. Lovely, wonderful job on it.

Thank you so much! I'm glad this could give you a nice wintery feeling, there's snow on the ground outside and I'm enjoying a nice cup of tea, so I'm glad to be able to share that with you in a way. :D

Unfortunately, I haven't. Not enough snow for that yet. :aww:

Well, no more rain, that's something to be thankful for, right? :D
