Jewel Of Mine Eye

Last night I decided to pick up my colored pencils again for the first time since art class in high school.  I had been really frustrated with them at the time, but they were much more enjoyable than I remembered from back then. I had a lot of fun drawing this little portrait of Adam Smith, organist and guitarist for psychedelic band Temples. Last time I drew him it was as a little black and white cartoon character in this drawing
 
but I decided to go for something a bit more realistic this time. It's different from my usual work, certainly, but I like it and I hope all of you do, too.
