I have a favor to ask of all of you. I work in the Smithsonian Latino Center, and this year the Smithsonian Summer Showdown will determine how much extra funding each Smithsonian museum and center gets. The Latino Center and the Asian Pacific American Center have teamed up and submitted one entry: the Korean Taco. We're competing in the Culture category, and our opponents are the Folklife Center with their recent Kenyan and Chinese cultural festival, the Museum of the American Indian with their Native Foods Cafe, and Smithsonian Recordings with "This Land Is Your Land". So we're the underdog of our group, but every vote gets us a little more funding, and I'd love to see the Korean Taco held up as the ultimate symbol of the United States' incredible cultural diversity and creativity. From July 21-24, please go to this website: showdown.si.edu/?s_src=siod_cm…
and vote for the Korean Taco! We're the most delicious in our category.
